To be able to tell stories through movement is something I’ll never take for granted.  The ability to create, when words are no longer enough.
My transition into choreography was natural, this is something that is truly rooted. I am inspired by everyday things, people, music  and just nature; I always  get  the urge to explore movement when I am inspired, and believe me, Inspiration is Everywhere.
Dancing has always been my outlet.
Finding that happy place through movement is a blessing;
Me, the music, no external thoughts, variables, worries or concerns, just complete freedom and bliss. I found my purpose, my calling through dance.
Taking on different roles and characters is an exciting way to step away from yourself momentarily. The bizarre, scary or crazy stuff I don’t see myself exploring, characterisation brings out.
We tell our stories through dance which requires characterisation and commitment, everything works together hand in hand.
The voice is a powerful tool in which I continue to explore. My training in ‘performing arts’ gave me the kick start I needed, it unlocked something I never saw myself doing.
Writing for me and creating melodies with words is something I’ve always done, to be Able to bridge the rawness and technique I found, is something I enjoy exploring. Oh yes! Keep your eyes and ears open for that.
